RIP, Deacon Lawrence Klimecki

I learned yesterday of the death of Deacon Lawrence Kilmecki. Deacon Klimecki drew the amazing artwork for both my first novel, The Tripods Attack, and the 2nd edition of its sequel, The Emperor of North America.

Deacon Klimecki managed to create work that, for me and thousands of readers of my work, fully encapsulated the dynamism and kind of storytelling I was attempting to accomplish with my series. I was looking forward to him completing the series, and am saddened immensely that I will not see a third cover from him for the conclusion of the Young Chesterton Chronicles.

Please visit his websites. He has a treasure trove of art for sale. My understanding is that with his sudden passing, his family currently has no steady source of income. Donations and the purchase of art can be done at the sites below:

Godspeed, Deacon Klimecki. Please guide my publisher and I to find an artist who can do justice to your previous works.
